Who Are the Blue Wahoos?

Minor League Roots

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are a Double-A minor league baseball team based in Pensacola, Florida. Since their debut in 2012, they've offered locals and visitors alike a chance to enjoy high-quality baseball in a scenic waterfront setting.

Big League Affiliations

Over the years, the team has been affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Twins, and now the Miami Marlins. As a Double-A affiliate, the Wahoos give fans a first look at rising stars on their way to the majors.

A Stadium with a View

Their home, Admiral Fetterman Field, sits right on Pensacola Bay in Community Maritime Park. With just over 5,000 seats and views of the water, it's widely considered one of the most beautiful stadiums in the minor leagues.

Community Focus

More than just a sports team, the Blue Wahoos are deeply woven into Pensacola's culture. Co-owned by local golf champ Bubba Watson, the team is known for innovative promotions, affordable tickets, and active community involvement. They've even won the Southern League Organization of the Year multiple times.

Premier Athletic Facility

If you've seen Blue Wahoos stadium, you know it's more than a baseball field. Located in Community Maritime Park, Wahoos stadium (Admiral Fetterman Field) is often booked out for community events. Some of these events may be summer movie nights, festivals, and fundraisers. This venue is also where the UWF Argos formerly played football games in the fall before getting their own field on campus.

It's easy to see why this beautiful venue stays busy throughout the year. The stadium sits on the waterfront of Pensacola Bay, in downtown, surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Even for those not interested in sports, the venue still makes a worthwhile experience.

Events

A visit to Wahoos' stadium entails more than a baseball game. Throughout the week, home games are themed based on the night. For a night out with friends or a family-friendly activity, a Wahoos game is the ultimate fan experience.
