Gulf Front - Lower Level Stay
Great gulf front condo to stay in. Definitely retro/70s vibe; but well maintained. Large pool and Spa on site. Rental Agency and Cleaning seemed to be great! The only thing to be aware of; is that the master and 2nd bedroom might be reversed in some peoples minds. e.g. the master is in the back; while the guests have a small window overlooking the gulf. Regardless we both spent most of our time on the porch or the beach. And the Emerald coast rarely disappoints!- Posted: 10/16/2023

Best beachfront bargain

FINALLY!
I landed upon a condo with everything I’ve always looked for. Code entry so no keys to bother with. Location couldn’t be more perfect. Right across from Peg Leg Pete and a convenience store. Pool was great. First floor but a bit higher so has a view. Ground floor covered parking. When you haul all your things to the beach and forget something it’s a short walk back. The huge patio has lounge chairs and table and chairs which we enjoyed both morning and evening. There are actually enough chairs in the living room and dining room for 6 people. Rare! Don’t let the wall of mirrors deter you. Makes the condo appear larger and who doesn’t want a second look when you’re about to head out! There were 5 dishwasher pods, but there were so many dishes in the cabinets we didn’t have to run it daily. The only thing I’d improve would be the fry pans. They are thin and worn. We didn’t use the TVs - we were at the beach! Just a great condo right on the beach and we’d most definitely utilize it again.- Posted: 8/31/2023

We highly recommend this condo! it is right on the first floor and easy access to the beach. The staff was super friendly and responsive and was accomidating with our early check-in as we traveled with our elderly father in law. Beautiful beach views and right across the street from Peg Leg Pets - the best food around! The TVs are outdated so no streaming. However, we only watched it when it was raining. Exactly what we needed!!
We absolutely loved our stay at this condo! Everything was immaculately clean and the view was amazing! We loved the large patio and being just steps away from the sand! Wonderful, beautiful stay!
When friends ask where we stay on Pensacola Beach, I always have to recommend San Souci condominiums. We've stayed in several condos in this building, and San Souci 104 has cemented itself as one of our favorites. Any condo in San Souci will usually guarantee its tenants a great stay. While condos from the 2nd floor up have balconies, those on the 1st floor instead have large, roomy patios. The patios also allow easy access to a staircase that takes you right to the walkway leading to the beach. If you have a physical limitation with stairs, the elevator is still easily accessible from the front area as well. The condo itself is wonderful, with plenty of seating in the living room, a spacious kitchen, and a large dining table. The bedrooms are great as well, complete with plush bedding and very comfortable mattresses. The condos location just across the street from Peg Leg Pete's means that oysters and fried grouper nuggets are just a few steps away at all hours of the day. We'd recommend staying here anytime! Sans Souci 104
This was our third stay in the Sans Souci property- first time in this condo. We loved the location of being on the bottom floor (it still sits high enough so that you have a beautiful view of the beach from the patio). Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: PBP is always great. Unit 104 is not nearly the best unit, but we deal with it because of the PATIO. Found out the 2 patio lounge chairs actually belonged to the unit next door-they were kind enough to let us use them. The chair for 104 was all rusty. Terrible moldy smell in guest room closet-had to wash all clothes I put in the closet twice to get rid of odor. The TV system is very hard to figure out even with the notes by PBP. Beachfront Getaway
We had a great trip. The condo is exactly what they said it was. The only thing that could be improved would be the couch, but it was fine. Beds were really comfy. It was me, my wife, my 6 month old and my parents. It was plenty of room for all of us. The ability to walk out the back door and to the beach was awesome for us. Review of Sans Souci 104
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was perfect for three adults and one child to enjoy the beach for a week. Although it was too chilly to really enjoy the main level patio/beach access and pool, those were highlights for us--we loved being able to walk out the patio door to the beach. The unit is in an area of the island that is a less crowded and away from hotels, and although there were a few college students visiting there were far fewer than in the hotels we've stayed at previously during spring break, and they were fairly polite students who didn't seem to party too loudly (though they did throw beer cans into the planters on our patio). The Pensacola area has many great restaurants (including Peg Leg Pete's right across the street, as well a Tom Thumb convenience store) and attractions that are great for families, including the Naval Air Museum, Gulf Island National Park, and Historic Downtown Pensacola. We appreciated the reserved parking space and gated access for added sense of security; when someone incorrectly took our spot, the property management handled it courteously. The accommodations themselves were a little less clean than I would have hoped for. There was a musty smell in one bathroom where the shower surround had a large hole in it, and visible water damage to the kitchen and bathroom sinks along the floor. The grout in the tile needs a good scrubbing on the floors, which seemed very dirty (our white socks were dark brown after walking around). Curtains in the north facing bedroom to block out the annoying security light would also make for a better night's sleep. But overall, it was an enjoyable stay and the amenities like ground-level beachfront access, a pool, and secure parking outweighed any issues with cleanliness. The unit has dark furniture which is not our personal style, but when you can almost fall onto the sand, who cares? It's functional. Wonderful large patio which we prefer over the balcony units, but we don't mind one bit staying in a balcony unit if 104 is not available. We have used Pensacola Beach properties many times over the last 8 years and they are great. Another Saga at San Souci

Each time has been great, this year was fantastic because we were on the first floor and had a large deck that is easily accessible to the beach. There is lots of room inside with two full baths. The unit was very clean and had a beautiful view. San Souci is located close to shops and restaurants with one directly across the street. Our favorite restaurant is Crabs with Peg Leg Petes coming in second. Peg Leg's is the one across the street. Beside spending time on the beach, we like parasailing and paddle boarding. One thing we did for the first time this year was go out to Fort Pickens and watch the Blue Angels practice. They were awesome! The entire Fort Pickens area was a history lesson and if you enjoy that, don't miss that. We just love Pensacola Beach and San Souci.- Posted: 8/8/2017

San Souci Unit 104, Birthday Week 2017

There is a drain hole in the master bedroom bathroom floor that a light shines up through at night. Its over the garage so not sure what that's about. Furnishings really worn. The location is so perfect I would sleep on the floor to be there. There is a propane grill on the patio. Icing on the cake. This picture is not what is in the condo. The furniture is really dated in living room. 13 inch TVs in bedroom - really?! Nice flat screen in living area but speakers not very good - didn't notice the brand. Only 3 chairs for table on patio, no umbrella. Didn't use grill - very rusty. Ceiling fans in bedrooms would be nice. Wouldn't take a lot to spruce it up and owners can write it all off! But patio and location so nice guess they don't have to do anything. I would bring air mattress next time for guest room. Master bed great. PBP is good to rent from. San Souci is great location - we love it there with the pool and on the beach! Hard to rate the property general condition as the property itself is just fine but the furnishings in our unit were sub standard. We prefer to stay in a more residential area as opposed to somewhere that is congested and commercialized but, we do like to visit those areas after a day at the beach and Sans Souci is convenient to shopping, great restaurants and activities.
