All About the Pensacola Blue Wahoos

Part of Pensacola’s charm is its bustling downtown, and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos are a fantastic addition. You may wonder where those fireworks come from on Saturday nights or who has that terrific field right on the bay.
The Wahoos have been in Pensacola since 2012, taking over for the former Pensacola Pelicans. The Wahoos are a double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, and they are known in Pensacola for a premier athletic facility, fireworks on Saturdays, Fat Tuesdays, and other events. The Wahoos bring a summertime buzz to the city, and sports fans enjoy watching the Miami Marlin’s prospects take on other minor league teams. Premier Athletic Facility
If you’ve seen Blue Wahoo’s stadium, you know it’s more than a baseball field. Located in Community Maritime Park, Wahoos stadium (Admiral Fetterman Field) is often booked out for community events. Some of these events may be summer movie nights, festivals, and fundraisers. This venue is also where the UWF Argos formerly played football games in the fall before getting their own field on campus.
It's easy to see why this beautiful venue stays busy throughout the year. The stadium sits on the waterfront of Pensacola Bay, in downtown, surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Even for those not interested in sports, the venue still makes a worthwhile experience.

Events
A visit to Wahoos stadium entails more than a baseball game. Throughout the week, home games are themed based on the night. For a night out with friends or a family-friendly activity, a Wahoos game is the ultimate fan experience.
Fat Tuesdays are a promotion that allows a 90-minute buffet and unlimited Pepsi.
On One Price Wednesdays, all box, reserve, and SRO tickets include a hot dog, chips, and soda for one price.
On Thursdays, the Pensacola Mullets take the field and guests enjoy drink specials.
The first 1,000 fans receive a free Wahoos backpack, thanks to Columbia Southern University. Arrive early for parking!
Saturdays are reserved for DIY jerseys and fireworks.
Family Sundays allow families to bring the kids and even run the bases on the field post-game.
